This is the airport I first flew back in 1993 and recieved my SEL here (2 genes avaiation) so it has special memories for me. The REASON I got my SEL was because MS Flight Sim 4 was so terrible, lol.
The default MS scenery at this airport was atrocious and nobody had stepped up to redo it so I did with the help of youtube. This is my first try at this "default scenery enhancement" game. Please dont laugh too hard, lol. I hope you get the same enjoyment that I have. I started really small with the building across from 101 that was like a wart and took small steps to rid myself of it lol.
I removed all the Hangars and buidlings on site and quite a few around San Martin.
Used the objects that came with the stock game.
Runway and all taxiways with lights.
Added more spawn points in Hangar area.
Added more objects around the FBO Magnum Aviation.
Have added what seems miles of fencing. Wish Id a known what that vectorpath thingy was when I did this, lol.
Added two Herlipads. One is located on E16 in Parking Lot B and the other is at the Saint Louise Medical Center a few miles up the road.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I will be doing more work on this as time permits. My goal isnt an exact duplicate of reality, I simply dont have the skillset for that. What Im trying to do is make the Airports feel more realistic than what Microsofts algorithm did. If you can live with that caveat then you should enjoy my scenery enhancements.
If you find any issues or things you would like added please let me know here on Flightsim.to.
This airport took me a lot longer to remake than Id care to admit. If you do enjoy it and would like to compensate me for my time it would be very much appreciated. If its worthy you can send using the link on the right.
In memory of Gene Mecadon of 2 Genes Aviation FBO operator for most of Q99-E16s life.
Special thanks to Patriot Six, Flying Theston and My Physical World guy, among others who were invaluable teachers.

Here're just easy remark from another amateur dev looking at it few minutes (per request on the "Activities" part of this web site):
- Don't forget to STAR your scenery. A lot of simmers ask that.
- There's no Helipad starting position
- Don't know why I had this : https://i.imgur.com/SgnTN01.jpeg
- I personally prefer to hide all trace of airplanes from the satellite image : https://i.imgur.com/zT0JLXt.jpeg
- The taxiway sign are too big (Cessna for comparison) : https://i.imgur.com/hFOavDT.jpeg
- The row of shrub is weird. I have double checked on maps/Bing, it exists but the alignement make it very artificial in the sim.
- The closed taxiway on the east side would have benefit from a apron object with a slight transparency and a cracked asphalt material
- The windsock north east of the field seems incorrect. The real one seams to be west of the runway. Use a exclusion rectangle to remove the default one and add your
- There is a lot of fences bordering the field. I personally take care a lot on putting the fences limited the whole area as it really create a feeling or realism when taxiing compared to a flat world
- Finally, I personally spent a lot of time blending the apron texture with the satellite image. I play with the falloff and the transparency of the texture. I also pay attention to add a lot of small object trying to create an atmosphere : opened hangar (see the Windhover free addon https://flightsim.to/file/26325/open-hangar-library )
