This liverie is for the Aeroplane Heaven Spitfire Mk1a.
Spitfire P9372 of 92 Squadron at RAF Northolt, latest flown by Bill Watling, and shot down by a Me109 9th September 1940 at East Guildford.
Watling manage to bail out, but was badly burned, and died from his wounds a couple of months later.
The spitfire wreckage was left burried until the late 70s, when it was recovered, and the fragments were displayed
at the Tornbridge Battle Of Britain museum for over 30 years.
In august 2019 the wreckage/parts was saved by the Biggin Hill Heritage, and used for a major restore, into once again inflying condition.
