Hi Guys
Been a while but at last here we are. This is the first of 5 on the go at present. The others will follow in due course. This is none other than the FW190-A4
Although it has alot to offer there are still some stuff than needs addressing so it is a WIP and I am no expert and still learning. Having said that I do believe it is definitely worth releasing at this stage.
Unlike the BF109 I am not going to upload 2 versions. If you dont like the swastica, replace the textures with the alternative one included.
The Focke-Wulf Fw 190, nicknamed Würger[b] ("Shrike") is a German single-seat, single-engine fighter aircraft designed by Kurt Tank at Focke-Wulf in the late 1930s and widely used during World War II. Along with its well-known counterpart, the Messerschmitt Bf 109, the Fw 190 became the backbone of the Jagdwaffe (Fighter Force) of the Luftwaffe. The twin-row BMW 801 radial engine that powered most operational versions enabled the Fw 190 to lift larger loads than the Bf 109, allowing its use as a day fighter, fighter-bomber, ground-attack aircraft and to a lesser degree, night fighter.
Fw 190 A-4: introduced in July 1942, the A-4 was the same aircraft as the A-3. The main improvement was the water-methanol power boost system "MW 50" for the BMW 801 engine. The system injected for a short period of time a water-methanol mix into the cylinders to raise the engine's power limit. The methanol was intended as anti-freeze. The Fw 190 A-4 went into production in late 1942 and 975 units were produced in 1942 and 1943.
It was the first Fw 190 to see combat on the Eastern front in 1942 thanks to its water-methanol power boost system.
The tropical variant of the A-4 was sent in Libya to support the Afrika Korps in 1942.
The first unit created to intercept USAF and RAF bomber formations in 1943 was equipped with Fw 190 A-4s.
Fighter squadrons stationed in France also received the A-4 in 1943 and used its dual role as fighter-bomber to harass English coastal towns.

Nice job. Fun to fly. Thank you. Just a little note: The pilot postion is too low and forward when first loaded, so I have to use the keyboard arrow keys to get seated. Also, I took the liberty to change the sounds to FI's F6F to get a radial growl. Thanks again.
