The Château de Malmaison is a French castle situated near the left bank of the Seine, about 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) west of the centre of Paris, in the commune of Rueil-Malmaison.
Formerly the residence of Empress Joséphine de Beauharnais, along with the Tuileries it was the headquarters of the French government from 1800 to 1802, and Napoleon's last residence in France at the end of the Hundred Days in 1815.
After Josephine's death in 1814, the house was vacant at times, the garden and house ransacked and vandalised, and the garden's remains were destroyed in a battle in 1870.
In 1842, Malmaison was purchased by Queen mother Maria Christina, widow of King Ferdinand VII of Spain. She lived there with her second husband Agustín Fernando Muñoz, Duke of Riánsares (made a duke by his step-daughter, Isabella II of Spain, in 1844). In 1861, Maria Christina sold the property to Napoleon III, Josephine's grandson through her daughter Hortense.
Malmaison was fully restored by the famous French architect Pierre Humbert in the early 20th century. It is now considered an important historical monument.
The Château de la Petite Malmaison is a French castle located south of the Château de Malmaison. It was built between 1803 and 1805 for Joséphine de Beauharnais. It was a reception pavilion adjacent to a large greenhouse, since destroyed.
The Château de Bois-Préau is a 19th century French castle located north of the Château de Malmaison. Since 1958 , it has housed a national museum devoted to the captivity and death of Napoleon on Saint Helena as well as to the return of the ashes and to the Napoleonic legend .
These mods for Rueil-Malmaison are completed by the Mairie de Rueil (the city hall of Rueil, including the previous city hall now turned into a museum) and the Paroisse Saint-Pierre Saint-Paul (known for hosting the tombs of Joséphine and Hortense de Beauharnais).
The Château de La Celle , also called Château de La Celle Saint-Cloud, is a castle located in the commune of La Celle-Saint-Cloud , in the department of Yvelines and currently owned by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Originally a monastery essentially composed of a farmhouse and buildings to house the monks, it was sold in 1616 . The Marquise de Pompadour bought it in 1748 to relax there and supervise the construction, in Meudon, of her Château de Bellevue . She adds new embellishments and welcomes Louis XV.
The castle was classified as a historical monument in 1978 . The park is classified among the sites of the Yvelines department since a decree of March 22, 1985.
Since the takeover by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the castle has hosted various international meetings or hosted heads of state or foreign ministers.
The Hippodrome de Saint-Cloud (or Hippodrome du Val d'Or ) is located to the northwest of Saint-Cloud. Inaugurated on March 15, 1901, it is a gallop racecourse , with a 2,300 m grass track which covers 75 hectares.
It has been partially listed in the inventory of historical monuments sinceJune 6, 1986 for the guardian pavilions, the riding school and the former farriery workshop. In addition, the entire racecourse benefits from the protection of a classified site , by decree dated July 8, 1998.
The Lafayette Escadrille Memorial is a monument erected in memory of the American volunteer airmen of the La Fayette Escadrille engaged during the First World War . It is located in the Parc de Villeneuve-l'Étang in Marnes-la-Coquette.
Built from 1926 to 1928 under the direction of the architect Alexandre Marcel, it was inaugurated on July 4 , 1928, in the presence of Ferdinand Foch and Paul Doumer.
I would ask you, if you have the time and the desire, to do the three most important works of the architect LE CORBUSIER: 1- The Savoye villa in Poisy, 2- The Chapel of Notre-Dame de Haut in Ronchamp and 3- The Unite D`Habitation in Marseille. Thank you! A big greeting from Panama.

Thanks for these landmarks. Could it be possible you group all them together (with the rest of your addons, by regions, for instance) on single files to avoid multiple or so many entries in the CF?

I have this in mind as well but as far as I know, it needs to be done manually and it will likely be a lengthy process
