1992年(平成4年)11月16日、日本トランスオーシャン航空(当時:南西航空)よりDHC-6型機(通称 ツインオッター、19名乗り)と同機にて運航されている路線(那覇⇔北大東/南大東/粟国、宮古/石垣⇔多良間、石垣⇔波照間の計6路線)の移管を受け、沖縄本島(那覇)を起点に県内の離島間を広くネットワークするコミューターエアラインへと成長しました。
On November 16, 1992, a route operated by Japan Transocean Air (then: Southwest Airlines) with a DHC-6 aircraft (commonly known as Twin Otter, 19-seater) (Naha ⇔ Kitadaito) / Minami Daito / Awakuni, Miyako / Ishigaki ⇔ Tarama, Ishigaki ⇔ Hateruma 6 routes in total) has grown into a commuter airline that has a wide network of remote islands in the prefecture starting from the main island of Okinawa (Naha).
