The spreadsheet has been developed using aircraft performance data freely published by Airbus, Boeing, British Aerospace and Bombardier. The following aircraft types are simulated, and more will be added later. You will need to download LIBRE OFFICE which is freely available and does not interface directly with MSFS, so can be safely used with any MSFS update.
CHANGE LOG - 15th Nov 2022 VERSION PERF08
ADDTION OF THE BOMBARDIER CRJ550, CRJ700, CRJ900 AND CRJ1000.
ALL PERFORMANCE CALCULATIONS HAVE BEEN REVISED FURTHER TO ENSURE GREATER ACCURACY WITH AIRCRAFT MANUFACTURERS DATA AND FLIGHTSIM PERFORMANCE.
REVISED FLEX TEMP SYSTEM ADOPTED TO MAKE EASIER SELECTION OF FLEX TEMPERATURES
NEW AUTOLAND SELECTION ADDED TO LANDING SELECTION, WHICH AUTOMATICLLY REDUCES THE LANDING DISTANCES TO TAKE INTO ACCOUNT LANDING FROM THE GLIDESLOPE RATHER THAN THE THRESHOLD.
MANY MINOR CORRECTIONS
AIRCRAFT TYPES INCLUDED
AIRBUS A318, A319, A319 NEO, A320, A320 NEO, A321, A321 NEO, A330-200, A330-300, A330-800 NEO, A330-900 NEO, A380-800.
BRITISH AEROSPACE BAE 146-100, 146-200, 146-200 QT/QC, 146-300, 146-300 QT.
BOEING B737-200, B737-600, B737-700, B737-700BDSF, B737-800, B737-BBJ, B747-400, B747-400F, B747-8, B747-8F, B787-10
BOMBARDIER CRJ550, CRJ700, CRJ900 AND CRJ1000.
The spreadsheet has a number of sheets selected by tabs at the bottom left. These are:
HELP. Instructions on how to use the spreadsheets.
COMPLEX. The full version with all the bells and whistles.
EASY. A simpler version similar to those used by pilots in the flight deck.
LOG. A sheet that helps you to log details of your flights if needed.
RWY The tables of runway data used by the simulator which can be edited.
ACFT. Aircraft data used by the spreadsheet in order to calculate the performance for each aircraft.
This was designed purely as a private project to assist me with my flight simulation. I have not had access to the wealth of information that would be required to create a complete aircraft performance chart for each individual airfield, so use with care. The runway performance indicated only takes into account the runway lengths indicated, whereas in real life a lot of other factors, such as local terrain needs to be considered. Having said that it will assist in making informed decisions on safe take off and landing.
FUTURE PLANS
AIRBUS A310
Once aircraft are fully released for MSFS then the existing specifications and weights will be amended to more closely match the weights and performance. More aircraft types will be added once the performance data is available.
Enjoy
Well it does work so can I suggest you re-download it. Perhaps you need to enter the Libre Office TOOLS section at the top and select PROTECTION and switch it off, then try again. Sorry you had a problem,
Hi Intimidati. Airbus do publish general performance data for all their aircraft. Its never going to be as accurate as the data that the Arline's use, but its not rubbish either. Search google for AIRBUS COMMERCIAL AIRCRAFT AC-330 and you will find a very detailed pdf of airport planning for the A330 which includes take off and landing data.
Matterno. Well I am currently still working on the update. I'm including the A350's new versions of the A330's and the B777's and B787's. You will have to trust me.... I suspect I have another months work to do.
Thanks Baselunarbeta.

However my Office 365 says "we found a problem in PERF08.ods. Do you want us to try to recover as much as we can?" After recovering it works but some field are missing, not sure the logic works properly. So if you are still maintaining the product it definitely worth checking. Anyway thanks for sharing the file!

Hey, can I kindly ask you, how and where do you gather all that performance data? What is your source? I tried to find all this performance data, but I never really succeeded

Sorry to all for the delay in replying to comments, but I have been away and then my computer hard drive crashed and its taking time to get up to speed again.
Aircraft manufacturers publish basic data on their aircraft performance on line. For example Airbus publish the following on the A320 range:
https://www.airbus.com/sites/g/files/jlcbta136/files/2021-11/Airbus-Commercial-Aircraft-AC-A320.pdf
I take my data from the various performance graphs. In reality an aircraft manufacturer trying to sell an aircraft to an operator, will perform demonstration flights at various airfields, especially at the more demanding ones, in order to ensure that the aircraft can perform safely. As part of the aircraft purchase the manufacturer will normally provide performance data for each aircraft type at every runway at every airfield.
That performance data is not normally freely available. I therefore take generic considerations, such as altitudes, weather, runway states etc and apply these to the basic published figures. When I can find out actual figures for airfields I cross check to see that the spreadsheet is accurate.
Hope that helps

With easy sheet in the landing performance it always says "Reverse Thrust not used". Is there a way to set landing performance with reverse thrust set??

Sorry to all for the delay in replying to comments, but I have been away and then my computer hard drive crashed and its taking time to get up to speed again.
As far as I am aware, the regulatory authorities do not take into account reverse thrust when calculating landing distances. So any additional braking action obtained is a bonus. Its possible they consider that there are too many variables to take into account. So I'm not saying that reverse thrust is not used. I'm saying that the effects of reverse thrust are not taken into account by the regulators when the aircraft manufacturers prepare the figures for the airlines.

How do you get airport info updated?? If a runway increase its length how can i update it??

If you open the RWY tab at the bottom of the spreadsheet you will see a list, a long list, of airfield ICAO codes on the left. Look at the headings at the top. Find the airfield from the list, and on the right you will see a list of runway designators and runway lengths in feet. You can change the runway designators and runway lengths. You can also add additional runways if needed. Any changes made should automatically effect the calculations immediately.
Remember to save the spreadsheet, in order to save the changes.
Hope that helps

Hello and thank you for this superb performance calculator, extremely rich in informations. However, an error occurs on the "COMPLEX" sheet: Cells P17, P18, Q18. According to me (and unless I'm mistaken?) this comes from the fact that cell P14 can only be used if the Runway ends with a letter (L or R), otherwise it causes an error in these 3 cells. To remedy this problem it would be necessary (in my opinion) to modify the Runway numbers without letters (Lou R) by adding a "*" character to them for example, I tested a "space" but it does not work... For your information, I have also created a database of airports with their characteristics, and thanks to a magic formula, I can extract this data easily. Here is this formula: =FILTER(DATAIRPT2; 'AIRPORTS-DATAS'!B1:B264=S15) where DATAAIRPT2 represents the range of data, B1:B264 is the range of data I want to extract, and S15 is the cells to select criteria of the airport with the name of the runway. Perhaps this formula would allow you to simplify the database of your calculator?
Sincerely. J.C. SIMON. PS. I am French. My email address if needed: [email protected]

I forgot to mention that I opened your ODS file with Google Sheets, and it's not impossible that the error I get is consecutive to that?
