This is my rendition of what the aircraft would look like before it is sent to the paint shop to get it's airline specific livery.

the fusealage is gloss white with little to no variation between the sections. This base coat is to protect the CFRP from UV. The vertical stabilizer rudder control surface is pre painted and faded out from the hinge point to about 16" or so to better facilitate final painting. Temporary tail numbers are affixed prior to test flights and sometimes paint but usually already painted on the wings. Never will you see a 787 in different shades of green spray lat. Never will you see a completely assembled aircraft leave the factory in raw CFRP.

This really looks great! Some people have complained about the shine, but that can also reflect reality. I don't think people realize that some sections may be unpainted, but others are painted with the airline colors at very early stages long before assembly and then covered in protective plastic. That plastic coating can definitely have a shine.

You'll be given credit on screen and in description with link for your add on. Look forward to hearing back from you. www.youtube.com/ausflight360

I like the primered jet. Is there any way to remove the shine? Primer is flat.
Thanks!
